There's good wind this time of Year in Florida!

Windsurfing Lessons in Florida

If you are heading to Florida, I recommend the North Beach Windsurfing School for windsurfing lessons. They offer windsurfing lessons and instruction at just about any time of the year or week, but can be more available on the weekends if you are windsurfing in the middle of winter.(which is actually the best time to windsurf down there.) Please call for an appointment and to reserve your time. Also please check out their Beginner Windsurfing Clinics and Sail Easy Intermediate Clinics.

Beginning Windsurfing Lessons

This class is specifically designed for the beginning windsurfer. The step by step system of land simulation followed by water practice will allow a beginner to learn quickly. These Florida Windsurfing Lessons emphasize balance and technique over strength allows you to learn quicker and easier. They use the latest in wide style boards that are almost three feet wide, but still offer fun with the use of use. The instructor is usually sitting on the front of your board so coaching will be immediate and comforting.

Sailing straight across the wind, upwind and downwind with steering are some of the skills taught in the first 3 hour session. Your confidence will soar as you are sailing in your first windsurfing lesson -They guarantee it!

Do you want a little more advanced lesson? Are you having problems getting into your footstraps? Do you want to be comfortable with your harness? Not to mention are you stopping in the middle of your Carve Jibes. These are a few of the things that they cover in the advanced Windsurfing Lessons in Florida. The windsurfing instructors use simulators on land to learn the technique and balance, and then we add water with an on-water instructor for the best results.
